BSA B44 Victor Parts & Spares
The B44 is the 441cc member of BSA‘s unit single family, best known as the Victor and built in road, trail and competition forms. It sits between the 250 and the 500 in a range that shares a great deal, which is a help when you are sourcing parts and a trap when you assume too much.
Our B44 listings cover the engine, the clutch and the cycle parts, including the items that are genuinely specific to the 441 rather than common to the family. Where a part suits more than one capacity the listing says which.
Road, trail or competition?
The B44 was sold as a road machine, as a trail bike and in competition specification, and the differences are not only cosmetic. Gearing, exhaust routing, mudguarding and electrical equipment all vary between them, and a good many have been converted one way or the other since. A machine sold as a Victor Special may well be wearing road gearing and a road exhaust today. The engine and frame numbers, with a note of what is currently fitted, give us enough to work with.
What we hold for the B44
- Bottom end — crankshaft assemblies, bearings and bushes, crankcase hardware
- Top end — pistons and rings, valves and guides, gasket sets
- Clutch and gearbox — plates, springs, shafts and selector components
- Bodywork — side panels and mounting fittings
- Cycle parts — brakes, fork and shock components, cables, fasteners
The rest of the unit singles
The 250 and 500 versions of the unit single share plenty with the 441, and the competition models have pages of their own on this site. If this page does not have what you are after, one of those very likely does, so it is worth a look before you give up on it.
