Triumph T140 Bonneville Parts & Spares
The 744cc T140 is the Bonneville most people actually ride: a five-speed, disc-braked twin that was built and revised right through the Meriden years. It is also the Triumph with the most variation hiding under a single model name, which is why fitment questions matter more here than almost anywhere else in the catalogue.
Obsolete Bike Parts holds close to 200 line items for the T140, from engine internals to the small hardware that goes missing during a rebuild.
T140 variants and what changes
The T140 arrived in 1973 as the 750 successor to the 649cc T120, and stayed in production until the early eighties, taking in the T140V, the electric-start T140ES, the single-carburettor TR7 Tiger, the Jubilee and Royal specials, and the export-spec machines with left-foot gearchange. Brakes, electrics, carburation and primary drive all changed over that run. Your engine number is the fastest way to settle what you need.
