PAL Electrical Parts for Jawa and CZ
Anyone who has chased a charging fault on a Jawa or a CZ knows the name. PAL made the electrical equipment these machines left the factory with: the dynamo and its regulator, the coil and the ignition lock, the switches, the horn, the lamps and the speedometer. When one of those gives up, the number you need is a PAL number rather than a Jawa one.
We keep PAL and PAL-pattern components for the Czech motorcycles and mopeds we supply, original stock where it still exists and reproduction where it does not. Obsolete Bike Parts sends them worldwide from the Netherlands.
Reading a PAL number
PAL components carry their own long numbers, many of them beginning 443, and our listings usually quote that next to the Jawa or CZ number for the same item. Giving us both when you ask about a part is the quickest route to a straight answer, because one lamp or switch can turn up under several machine numbers. These are 6-volt systems as the factory built them, and the mopeds use an arrangement of their own again.
What we stock
- Charging — dynamo rotors, regulators and rectifiers
- Ignition — coils, ignition locks with keys, switch parts
- Switchgear — handlebar switches, light, horn and cut-out switches
- Lighting — tail lamp assemblies and lenses, headlamp fittings
- Instruments — speedometers in km/h and mph
Standard or converted?
Many of these machines were moved to 12 volt or to electronic ignition somewhere in the last fifty years. Tell us what is fitted now rather than what ought to be, and we will match the part to the bike in front of you. A photograph of the dynamo or the switch body with its number visible saves a round of questions.
