BSA A65 Parts & Spares
The A65 is BSA‘s 654cc unit-construction twin: simpler to work on than the pre-unit A10 it replaced, and still one of the most usable British twins of the sixties. Whether the bike in your workshop is a Thunderbolt, a Lightning, a Spitfire or a Firebird Scrambler, the parts you need are largely shared, and the ones that are not are exactly the ones people get wrong.

A65 models we supply
The unit 650 ran from 1962 to 1972 in a long list of guises: A65 Star, Rocket, Thunderbolt, Lightning, Spitfire, Hornet, Firebird Scrambler and Lightning Clubman among them. Early and late engines differ in ways that matter when you order — crankcase, timing side and clutch details in particular — so have your engine number to hand. The 499cc A50 is the same design in smaller capacity and shares a great many components.
