BSA B44MX Parts & Spares
The motocross B44 is the unit single with everything removed that does not help it round a track, and the parts that suffer for it are the ones at the bottom of the engine: crankshaft, conrod, crankcases and the gears behind them. Most B44MX orders we pack are engine rebuilds rather than tidy-ups.
Our stock leans the same way. At Obsolete Bike Parts we hold crankshaft and conrod assemblies, pistons, gasket sets and gearbox components, alongside the shared B44 and CCM items that suit these engines.

MX, Enduro or Grand Prix?
The B44 was built in several forms and the competition versions are the ones that diverge. Listings here routinely cover Victor Enduro and MX machines together, while Grand Prix components appear under their own numbers. Engine parts travel between them more readily than cycle parts do, so a conrod or a crankshaft that suits one will often suit the next, where a frame or tank item will not.
What we hold for the MX
- Bottom end — crankshaft assemblies, connecting rods with bushes, crankcases
- Top end — pistons in standard and oversize, ring sets, valves with guides
- Sealing — gasket, oil seal and thrust washer sets for the engine
- Transmission — gears and layshafts, engine sprockets, QD driving flanges
- Covers — timing covers and the fittings that go with them
Building an engine?
Tell us what you have already measured and what the bores and journals came back at, along with your engine number. It is easier to put one rebuild list together than to fill the gaps a single order at a time, and it keeps the gaskets and seals on the same order as the parts they have to seal.
