Norton ES2 Parts & Spares
The 490cc ES2 is the pushrod single Norton kept in the range for the better part of forty years, which means an ES2 on the bench can be almost any age. Girder or telescopic forks, rigid or plunger frame, upright or Doll's Head gearbox: the model name tells you far less than the numbers on the cases do.
Obsolete Bike Parts holds over 50 ES2 line items, and a good deal of it is shared with the other Norton singles of the period.
Which ES2 do you have?
The ES2 ran in one form or another from the twenties into the sixties. Early machines share running gear with the 16H and the Model 18; later ones moved to the featherbed frame and the AMC gearbox. Kickstart spindles, clutch parts and gearbox covers differ between them, so work from your numbers.
