Weslake built the eight-valve heads and complete engines that turned Triumph-based specials into serious machinery, and Nourish Racing Engines carried the work forward with its own crankcases and cranks. None of it was made in volume, and the people who need these parts usually know exactly which number they are after.

Weslake, Nourish and NRE
Weslake developed the eight-valve conversion and the engines that followed it, used in grasstrack, speedway and road specials. Nourish Racing Engines worked from the same designs and produced the NRE crankcases, cranks and heads still in service today. Part numbers carry W and N prefixes and the two ranges overlap.
What we stock
- Top end: inlet and exhaust valves, head gaskets, rocker covers
- Bottom end: 180-degree crankshafts, main roller bearings, piston and ring sets
- V-twin: Omega pistons for the 1000cc Weslake and Godden V-twins, in standard and oversize
- Transmission and exhaust: engine sprockets, exhaust pipe clamping rings
Where these engines ended up
Eight-valve Weslake twins were fitted to Rickman frames and to Triumph-based specials, and some piston sets are shared with the CCM 500 four-valve.
