BSA DBD34 Gold Star Parts & Spares

The DBD34 is the last and best known of the BSA Gold Stars, a 500 built to be raced on Sunday and ridden home afterwards. Clubmans machines were specified individually, which is why two Gold Stars that look alike can want different gearbox internals and different gearing.

Obsolete Bike Parts holds over 40 DBD34 line items, gearbox gears and Clubmans-specific parts among them.

Clubmans, Scrambles and the ordinary road bike

Gold Stars left the works in road, Clubmans, scrambles and trials trim, and the differences are real: engine sprockets, layshaft and mainshaft gears and silencers all vary with the specification. The engine number tells you what you started with, though many machines have been rebuilt since.

What we stock

  • Gearbox: layshaft and mainshaft sliding gears, layshaft gears, kickstart shafts
  • Drive: Clubmans engine sprockets, clutch friction plates
  • Engine: unit gasket sets, valves and guides shared with the B33 and B34, piston ring sets
  • Cycle parts: Clubmans silencers, petrol tanks, galvanised spokes and nipples for the QD hub

Shared with the other big singles

A number of engine parts carry across to the B33 and B34, and the QD hub spoke sets also suit the A65. Where that applies the listing names both.
