Norton Model 18 Parts & Spares
The Model 18 is the overhead-valve 490cc single Norton kept in the range for decades, and it stayed in production long enough that two machines wearing the same name can be very different underneath. Anything built over that span picks up changes to the forks, the gearbox and the electrics.
A good deal of what the Model 18 needs is shared with the other Norton singles, so our listings say where a part also suits the ES2, the Model 19 or the side-valve machines.
Dating your Model 18
Girder forks give way to telescopics, rigid frames to plunger and then to swinging arm, and the gearbox and magneto arrangements change with them. None of that is obvious from the model name, and a bike restored from more than one machine can carry features from either side of a change. The frame and engine numbers do the work here, so send them to us if you are not certain what you have.

Model 19, ES2 and 16H components overlap with the Model 18 in places, particularly in the gearbox, the cycle parts and the electrics. If nothing here matches what you are after, look under those terms before concluding that we do not have it, or send us the part number and let us check across the singles for you.
