Triumph Twin Parts & Spares
Meriden built its parallel twins for more than thirty years and moved components between them constantly, which is why a part listed for one model so often turns out to be the right one for another. This page collects the items that suit more than a single Triumph twin, so you do not have to work through every model page to find them.
Obsolete Bike Parts holds Amal carburettor components, valve and guide sets, air filter elements, brake and wheel hardware, and the BSA-Triumph group parts that arrived with the oil-in-frame machines. Every listing names the models it suits, and anything specific to one model stays on that model’s own page.
Which era of twin?
Three dividing lines decide most orders. Pre-unit twins carry a separate engine and gearbox with their own cases and mountings. The unit-construction twins that followed changed the crankcases and primary drive completely. Then the BSA-Triumph group rationalised its cycle parts, bringing in the oil-in-frame chassis, conical wheel hubs and a set of brake, spindle and filter components common to BSA machines. A part described as BSA/Triumph almost always belongs to that last group. Your frame and engine numbers place the bike on the right side of all three lines.

Ask before you order
If a listing names a model you do not recognise, send us your engine number. These twins share more than their model names suggest, and we would rather check than guess.
